We R&R the entire empennage.Major damage to vertical and horizontal stabs when struck by surface-to-air missile. Remainder of war, one-time flight to McClellan, stripped of parts and put on display.Capt Jim Rose, 23 TASS 'Cajuns' is hit by a SAM. Major damage as the tail takes a direct hit and he loses all hydraulic pressure. He is able to land the plane at KKMC using the backup Manual Reversion system, making him the first Hogdriver to utilize the Manual Reversion system in combat to save his own life. Event No.: Unknown
